Description
Antique teapot, made of finest white porcelain. All hand painted - a fine piece of Kutani ware. Iron Red with various patterns and designs. Each side has a different scene in the central medallion - four figures on one side, and a Peacock bird and blooming flowers on the other. Great attention to detail and excellent craftsmanship. Note the handle, with the stylized Bamboo shape. Well signed on the underside, with three Japanese characters. Japanese, Meiji period (1868-1912), circa late 1800's.
