Description
9-1/2" x 12-1/2" wooden frame under glass, containing an array of 16 items including jugate and portrait celluloid buttons [sizes from 7/8" diameter to 1-3/4" diameter]. Buttons comprise: Bryan & Stevenson jugates [7], Bryan portrait [6], a prohibition candidate John C. Woolley portrait, and Woolley jugate with Henry B. Metcalf. Accompanied by a cross-form badge [2" H x 1-3/8" W] bearing low relief jugate of Bryan & Stevenson suspended from an enamel pinback U.S. flag ribbon hanger. Features a 1-3/4" Bryan & Stevenson jugate with federal eagle at top and cornucopia at bottom spilling silver coins and captioned "!6 to 1." All items personally selected and arranged by APIC Charter Member Monroe D. Ray, New York.
Condition
Minor defects throughout. "Cornucopia" jugate bears foxing affecting both portraits.
