As Winter did not usually play with a flat pick, it was likely a souvenir from the famed Manny's Music of New York, a favorite haunt of many musicians of the time. Manny's Music sadly closed its doors in 2009. The fact that it was in his possession, despite the fact that he did not play with a flat pick, suggests that it had some sentimental value. The other pick is bronze-colored and metallic, has lost its original shape.
