A PAIR OF VINTAGE MID CENTURY MODERN GILT AND WHITE SPECKLED CERAMIC LAMPS, BY "F.A.I.P.," SIGNED, MID 20TH CENTURY, each of conical form and vertical fine line textured details with impressed rectangular "(C) F.A.I.P.," raised on a conforming polished brass base, height: 16 1/2", with fittings height: 29 1/2". NOTE: F.A.I.P. possibly were the initials for Fine Arts In Plaster, of Brooklyn, New York. This information is based on other lamps with the same initials plus printed labels that have Brooklyn, New York. Little seems to be known about this company as of yet, but their style is very representative of this period and proving to be popular amongst mid century modern enthusiasts.
Condition
Good condition, normal buildup, some oxidation of metal parts, need rewiring. Simpson Galleries strongly encourages in-person inspection of items by the bidder.
