SONG-YUAN DYNASTY

The tapered cylindrical body with flared sides rising to a flat, inward canted rim, the body decorated with three sets of double bands and raised on three ruyi-shaped, foliate feet, covered inside and out with a crackled glaze of olive brown-green tones, a circular, unglazed foot projecting from the center of the underside revealing burnt russet-orange residue from the firing, an old gold lacquer repair (kintsugi) on the rim.

Originally from a Japanese old collection.
