Description
A Fabergé silver and translucent enamel bowl, workmaster Julius Rappoport, St Petersburg, circa 1890. Of circular form, the base set with a silver Ruble coin made during the reign of Empress Catherine II dated 1771, partially enameled in translucent red over a hand-engraved ground, the exterior applied with ribbon tied foliate swags, raised foot. Marked with 84 Russian silver standard. Diameter: 2 7/8 in. (7.2 cm).
