Maziar Fallahpoor Porneamat is a contemporary artist originally from Iran but now based in Atlanta, GA. Studying graphic design in college, Maziar became fascinated with space and the relationship of objects to the space they occupy. He creates works in various forms, including drawings, paintings, sculpture, and poetry. He is influenced by the two-dimensional works of cubism, and seeks to challenge traditional methods by bringing a selective, minimalist approach to his artworks. A native Iranian, his works are renowned in that country as innovative and diverse, and, as recently as April 2006, were displayed in a prominent gallery in Tehran. An innovative artist growing in popularity in the United States, Maziar continues to explore new techniques, mediums, and forms of self-expression.
