Apparently, an obverse white metal splasher of Augustin Dupre's John Paul Jones Medal authorized by Congress and collected in the Comitia Americana Series, 56mm, white metal, Betts-568, Julian NA-1. One of the most popular American Naval medals. High relief portrait right, with blank verso and paper adhesion. Period of manufacture is uncertain. Very fine for type, deep toning.
