This full "stunt" Skitter Suit worn onscreen by Skitter Performers during stunt sequences allows everyday humans to experience Skitter life up close and personal. As "Falling Skies" lead Skitter Performer Keith Arbuthnot explains in the video titled "Behind the Magic - Falling Skies - TNT" (see link below) they design comfort into the Skitter Suit, to allow performers to move and bring more of the character forward. He then explains the technical aspects, "So we’ve got a whole harness system that goes on underneath the suit that supports the weight of all the legs allowing the Skitter to do whatever he needs to do. And the head has a skull cap that’s formed to my head that allows me to take the weight of the head and move freely. The Skitter has 12 individual servos (allowing remote control operation) inside that operate everything from the eyes, the brows, and all the way through the mouths and the tentacles at the bottom." As shown in the video, the Skitter Suit laces up in back like a corset. This Skitter's menacing face is quite distinctive in personality and features. Borrowing heavily from the reptile and insect worlds, this gender-neutral Skitter has craggy ridges of reptilian skin, glowing eyes, minimal ears, and pincer mouth. The talons look razor-sharp, while the multi-jointed legs and tripod feet are pure Skitter. Includes a torso with zipper opening in back, a head, two arms, six legs with working knee joints, and an internal bodice. Made of latex and foam. Torso approx. 40" x 22" x 16".
