Description
Very rare Nacreous glaze vase with fish decoration done by E.T. Hurley in 1915. There are several minnow size fish visible through the blue-green glaze done in typical Hurley style. Marked with the company logo and date, shape number 2100, an upright P for porcelain body (often associated with Nacreous glaze) and the incised initials of the artist. Height 4 3/8 inches. Light crazing with wonderful color. Pictured in color in Herbert Peck's "The Second Book of Rookwood Pottery" in the color plate section. Ex. Col. Herbert Peck.
