Apple's 20th Anniversary Macintosh, 1997
Apple's Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh was a limited-edition personal computer released in 1997 in celebration of the company's 20th birthday. TAM was one of the first projects of Apple's star designer Jonathan "Jony" Ive. The result was a high-end Macintosh with 12,1 in. active-matrix display and an impressive BOSE sound system. The TAM was very expensive and its sales figures were poor. For this reason TAM is a highly sought collector's item. A few months after TAM, iMac was introduced and the rise of Apple started. The offered TAM works well and provides a nice media-center. It has CD player, radio and TV built-in. The sound is incredible (please see Youtube). It comes with keyboard and remote control. Installed ist Mac OS 8.6; the TAM can run up to Mac OS 9.1 and even use internet and e-mail.

Anläßlich des 20. Firmenjubiläums von Apple wurde 1997 der TAM (Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh – Codename Spartacus) vorgestellt. Der TAM war eines der ersten Projekte von Apple-Stardesigner Jonathan "Jony" Ive. Ein High-End-Macintosch mit 12,1-Zoll-Aktiv-Matrix-LCD und impressivem BOSE-Sound system. Entsprechend teuer war der Mac, und er verkaufte sich sehr schleppend. Aus diesem Grund ist der TAM ein begehrtes Sammlerstück. Ein paar Monate nach dem TAM wurde der iMac vorgestellt und Apples Aufstieg nahm seinen Anfang. Der angebotene TAM funktioniert einwandfrei und gibt ein geniales Media-Center ab. Hat er doch CD-Player, Radio und TV-Empfang eingebaut. Der Sound ist einfach der Hammer (siehe Video). Geringe Gebrauchsspuren auch auf Tastatur und Fernbedienung. Installiert ist Mac OS 8.6 – es läßt sich bis zu Mac OS 9.1 installieren und damit sogar Internet und E-Mail nutzen.
