Pair of Chinese embroidered and painted silk textiles, 18th/19th century. Framed; not examined out of frame. Sight size: 68 1/2" high, 17 1/4" wide; frame size: 71" high, 19 1/4" wide. Condition: soiling, toning, fading, scattered stains, one with horizontal tear to red railing to right of woman's sleeve, scattered light scratches, creases to area below figures; other with horizontal tear at feet of lower right figure extending to border and two inch tear at bottom left center, paint loss, creases to orange railing panel, losses. loose threads to gilt characters in screen upper right; frames with chipped, peeling and losses to paint and gilt.
