Description
Near East, 1st Millennium BCE. A collection of five terracotta vessels, all from the Holy Land and Near East. Loop handled vessel is slipped in a deep red with rounded bottom. Terracotta unguent vessel with up-flared rim and round bottom, slipped in a brown paint. Bulbous perfume jar, slipped in black with narrow spout and small rim. Globular flask with flat bottom and short, flared neck, slipped in red. Small blackware olla with flat bottom, and subtly flared neck. Sizes ranging from 4"H - 4-1/2"H.
Provenance: Everything except perfume jar is formerly of a Private Texas Collection; Perfume jar was formerly with a Private California Collection.
