SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA EARTHENWARE / REDWARE MINIATURE CROCK, double lead glazed, wide-mouth form with slightly rounded rim and beaded foot. Probably John Coffman or John George Schweinfurt, New Market, VA. 1850-1880. 3 1/4" H, 3" D rim, 2" D base.

Provenance: Collection of the late Rudolph Evers, Bridgewater, VA.
Purchased at the E. Auborn Strawderman estate auction, Lacey Spring, VA, 4/7/84.

Condition:

Rim with shallow top-edge chip and minor flakes/roughness, otherwise excellent.
