Chavin Culture, Jequetepeque River, Peru , 1200-1000 BC Important & Large Mask in Earth Colored Tones with Red Cinnabar High Lights on Face. It has Coffee Bean Eyes, Finely Sculpted Nose, its Mouth is having Jaguar Teeth making it a Transformation Mask. This most likely is one of the First Tranformation Mask’s depicting Aiapec, the Jaguar God ( very prominent in the Later Mochica Culture ). A truly Powerful Image of Great Spirtual Significance: Shaman in Transformation to Jaguar. TL test included. 13" W by 8" H.
