A large-sized pair of antique Chofa temple spires from Thailand, presented on custom wood bases. These elegantly shaped Thai finials, from the late 19th century, are referred to as a "chofa", which roughly translates to "sky tassel." These pieces were often used as spires to architecturally adorn the roof of a temple or palace, thought to bring good luck and ward off evil spirits. These temple spires with their beautifully fluid shapes, are often interpreted to represent the mythical. H 28” W 6”
