Description
Vintage white 5” x 4” piece of paper that has been signed by Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham in black ballpoint pen. There is an additional unknown autograph on the paper. In very good condition, with some scattered wear. The autographs were obtained in Jersey, Channel Islands, UK in 1975. They come with a letter from the original recipient that reads ‘In 1975 Led Zeppelin stayed in Jersey for a few months. This was for Robert Plant to recover from injuries he sustained after a car accident, and also they needed to be outside of Great Britain for tax reasons! Whilst in Jersey they played a couple of informal sets at a nightclub called Behans, also at a folk club at Anne Port. I was 18 at the time and somehow heard that they were having a drink in a small bar called The Lilly Langtry in St. Helier ( in the basement of the Imperial hotel in La Motte Street). So I went to the bar, Led Zep were at the back and I asked the barman if he could ask them for their autographs …(was too shy to ask them directly!)” Accompanied by a Tracks COA.
