According to Colt Archives serial number database, this Official Police .22 LR revolver was produced in 1935. SPECS: 6" Barrel, checkered walnut grips with silver Rampant Colt medallions, fixed groove rear sight, front blade sight, serrated hammer, grooved trigger and 6-shot swing-out cylinder. CONDITION: This gun is in good condition with some light wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The Colt Official Police is a medium frame, double-action revolver with a six-round cylinder. It was released in 1908 as the Colt Army Special, but was renamed the "Official Police" in 1927 in order to better market to law enforcement agencies. It was most commonly chambered .38 Special; however, it was also offered in .22 LR (used for military & police training), .32-20 (discontinued in 1942), and .41 Long Colt (discontinued in 1938). Pre-WWII models in calibers other than 38 Special are fairly scarce. It was also offered in 4", 5" and 6" barrel lengths. FREE SHIPPING & NO PROCESSING FEES.
