An Irish George III mahogany, purplewood banded and satinwood secretaire bookcase 1785-1800, almost certainly retailed by Nolan and Sons during the early 20th century With boxwood stringing, the chequered cornice above an alternating pattern-inlaid satinwood veneered frieze, over a pair of triple pointed arched astragal glazed panelled doors, enclosing five shelves, over a secretaire drawer enclosing eight satinwood veneered and sycamore lined drawers, four pigeon holes and a gilt tooled leather inset surface, with a pair of oval panelled doors below, enclosing one shelf, possibly originally the central section of a larger bookcase, with a plaque which reads: 'NOLAN & SONS, The Georgian House, Dublin', approximately: 136cm wide x 42cm deep x 261cm high, (53 1/2in wide x 16 1/2in deep x 102 1/2in high) For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
