Civil War-Indian War Brass Regiment Discs
Collection of 12 round ""false embroidered"" stamped brass regimental insignia used on the uniform epaulets to designate the unit with which the soldier served. These were from the famed Bannerman military goods firm in New York City that started its business by purchasing military surplus immediately after the Civil War. The discs, which have four brass pins soldered on the reverse side for attachment to the epaulets, were used from the Civil War through the Indian War era. Fine condition. 1-3/4"" in diameter
