Details
Shaped circular, on four claw and ball feet, with vitruvian scroll, shell, paterae and beaded rim, the inner border chased with shells and rosettes, hung with husk swags, the centre engraved with a coat-of-arms within a Rococo cartouche, with baron's coronet above, marked under base, with scratch weight 110=8, and stamped inventory mark no.1
21 in. (53.3 cm.) diameter
107 oz. 16 dwt. (3,353 gr.)
The arms are those of Massy, for Hugh Massy, 1st Baron Massy (1700-1788), of Druntileague, co. Limerick.
