OSCAR II King of Sweden Sweden(Stockholm, 1829 - Stockholm, 1907). University of Uppsala, Rear Admiral. King of Sweden and Norway. Brother and successor to Charles XV, he had to accept the break-up of the Swedish-Norwegian union in 1905. He had 4 children, the eldest of whom was King of Sweden under the name Gustav V.Document signed "Oscar", dated Stockholm, le 5 fŽvrier 1863: "...Monsieur le Chevalier Cho•scki ! Je vous remercie de la lettre que vous m'avez adressŽe en date du 24 novembre dernier avec un exemplaire de l'ouvrageÉ"; Autograph letter signed dated Paris 07.01.1858.GIRON Marc Edvard Admiral Sweden(Stockholm, 1885 - Stockholm, 1970). In 1900, he entered the cadetship and became second lieutenant in 1906, captain in 1916, commander in 1936 and rear admiral in 1942. He was head of the navy's organization major, commander-in-chief of the navy, then member of the Royal Academy of Naval Sciences.Autograph card signed dated Stockholm,08.10.1949 to Paul Langer: "mon nom est GIRON (d'une famille genevoise) comme vous le voyez de ma carte incluseÉ".; Signed printed photograph applied to cardboard; Visiting card.BERNADOTTE AF WISBORG Folke Politician SwedenCount of Wisborg (Stockolm, 1895 - Jerusalem, 1948). Grandson of Oskar II and nephew of Gustav V of Sweden, he played an important role in Swedish scouting before the war. During the war, he succeeded in freeing 15,000 people from concentration camps. On May 20, 1948, he was appointed UN mediator in the conflict between Israel and the Arab states.
