Description
CRERAR Henry Duncan Graham General Canada(Hamilton, 1888 - 1965). Graduating from the Royal Military College in 1910, he served in the First World War in France and Belgium, graduating with the rank of lieutenant-colonel. Between the wars, he was Director of Military Operations, then Commandant of the Collge Royal Militaire. He began the Second World War as a general, planning Canadian troops in England. On 07.23.1944, he landed in Normandy and, passing through La Falaise, unblocked the ports of Le Havre, Boulogne and Calais.Signed printed photograph applied to cardboard in-16 and dated October 1947 to Paul Langer; autograph card signed; envelope.MACKENZIE KING William Lyon Prime Minister Canada(Berlin, Ontario, 1874 - Kingsmere, Quebec, 1950). Studied economics and law at the University of Toronto and Chicago. Elected to the Liberal Party in 1908. Hired as Minister of Labor. He lost his seat in 1911 and regained it in 1917. Leader of the Liberal Party from 1919 to 1948. Prime Minister from 1939 to 1945.Signed printed photograph applied to cardboard; accompanying letter 05.02.1952; letter of thanks dated 15.07.1946 signed by his secretary.SAINT-LAURENT Louis Stephen Prime Minister Canada(Compton, CDN, 1882 - QuŽbec, 1973). Lawyer, then professor of law at Laval University. One of Quebec's most prominent lawyers. He remained aloof from active politics. In 1926, he was offered a position in the Prime Minister's Office, which he declined. It was only at the age of 60 that he agreed to enter politics. In 1948, he became leader of the Liberal Party and Prime Minister.Signed printed photograph applied to cardboard, to Paul Langer dated 1945.
