One piece die struck nickel construction with a scooped out back. Front shows a tank in the center with an army eagle clutching a swastika in his talons at the top. Both are surrounded by an oval oak leaf wreath. Reverse side is dated and maker marked 1942 AWS. Thin vertical pin back and the bottom catch is not present. Awarded for three combat encounters with the enemy.
