Die struck brass construction. Front shows a War Merit Cross without swords in the center of the medal. Reverse side reads fur kriegs verdienst 1939. Includes the presentation machine embroidered cloth woven cotton ribbon. Awarded for meritorious service towards the war effort. Measures 1 1/4 inches in diameter.
