Busicom 141-PF, 1971
This is the 1st electronic calculator with the world's first microprocesscor "Intel 4004" which came in October 1971 onto the market. In 1969 the Japanese calculator manufacturer "Busicom" (formerly "Nippon Calculating Machine Corporation Ltd.") commissioned Intel to develop a complex but flexible set of chips for calculating machines. In 1970 the order was delivered as "Intel 4004", with all rights owned by Busicom. – In 1971 "Intel" bought back all patent rights for non-calculator applications on their worldwide first microprocessor "4004" ... and started with this "Intel's" gigantic economical success! – The one offered here, "Busicom 141-PF" is equipped with the "Intel 4004" microprocessor in its first white ceramic design with goldcap and gray traces. – Only produced in 1971 in minimal quantities, today very few examples of this early electronic calculator are known worldwide! One machine can be viewed at the Intel Museum in Santa Clara, CA/USA. – An important milestone in computer history!

Die 1. elektronische Rechenmaschine mit dem weltweit ersten Mikroprozessor "Intel 4004" kam im Oktober 1971 auf den Markt. Der japanische Hersteller "Busicom" (vormals "Nippon Calculating Machine Corporation, Ltd") hatte "Intel" 1969 den Auftrag für die Entwicklung eines komplexen, aber flexiblen Chipsatzes für Rechenmaschinen erteilt, der 1970 als "Intel 4004" mit allen Rechten für "Busicom" geliefert wurde. – 1971 kaufte "Intel" die Patentrechte an ihrem "Chip 4004" zur Vermarktung in anderen Anwendungen zurück. Busicom ging kurze Zeit später in Konkurs, für Intel aber begann ein gigantischer wirtschaftlicher Erfolg! – Der hier angebotene "Busicom 141-PF" ist mit dem "Intel 4004" Mikroprozessor in erster weißer Keramik-Ausführung mit goldcap (!) und sichtbaren Leiterbahnen ausgerüstet! – Nur Kleinstmengen wurden 1971 hergestellt, heute sind nur einige wenige Exemplare überhaupt weltweit bekannt. Ein Exemplar kann im Intel Museum in Santa Clara, CA/USA bestaunt werden. – Ein bedeutender Meilenstein in der Computer-Geschichte!
