[PHOTOGRAPHY]. BRACK, Asa A. (photographer). Album containing 42 gelatin silver prints. Subjects are primarily San Antonio architecture and landmarks.


[PHOTOGRAPHY]. [BIG BEND]. 27 gelatin silver prints of scenery in the Big Bend area including the Chisos Mountains, Rio Grande, and Boquillas and Santa Elena Canyons. Most prints approximately 27 x 16 cm, with a few larger prints N.p., n.d. [ca. 1937].


[PHOTOGRAPHY]. DIAMANI, Caesar (photographer). Three photographic prints. Included are: [1] Group portrait of men’s football team. Ball at lower center of image is lettered Cuero 25. Gelatin silver print mounted on card. Image: 16.1 x 21.5 cm; Card: 25.2 x 30.2 cm. N.p., n.d. [ca. 1910s]. Image yellowed, faded at margins, exhibiting a bit of silver mirroring, and with a few spots, upper right corner of card mount absent, card with spotting and scattered insect damage, overall fair; [2] Group portrait of men’s football team. Gelatin silver print mounted on card. Ink inscription on card verso: Caesar Diamani | 1917. Image: 16 x 20.9 cm; Card: 24.9 x 30 cm. N.p.: [Caesar Diamani, 1917]. Image yellowed, a bit faded, and with some silver mirroring, light wear, insect damage, and spotting to card mount, overall good; [3] Group portrait of women’s basketball team. Ball at center of image is lettered 1917. Gelatin silver print mounted on card. Ink inscription on card verso: Caesar Diamani | 1917. Image: 16 x 20.7 cm; Card: 24.9 x 30.1 cm. N.p. [Caesar Diamani, 1917]. Image yellowed, a bit faded, and with a few water spots and a little silver mirroring, card mount with moderate insect damage and spotting, overall fair to good condition.

Matte gelatin silver print mounted on board. Ink inscription in lower left-hand corner of print: Copyrighted 1905 by G.K. Miller. Ink inscription on board verso: ‘The Head of the River San Marcos’ (1905) | Handwriting lower left corner: | ‘Copyrighted 1905 by G.K. Miller.’ Image: 20.9 x 26 cm; Board: 32 x 38 cm. [Cooper: G.K. Miller, 1905]. Image a bit yellowed, lightly rubbed and soiled, a few small chips to image surface, a bit of insect damage to board mount and margins of print (slightly affecting image), corners of board worn, overall fair, but image still sharp and attractive; [2] Old Main building of Southwest Texas State Normal School (today’s Texas State University), with large group of students in foreground and some in windows. Matte gelatin silver print mounted on board with photographer’s imprint on lower left-hand corner of recto. Ink inscription in lower left-hand corner of print: Copyrighted 1905 by G.K. Miller. Lengthy inscription in ink on board verso, commencing ‘Old Main and Her Students’–1905 (Some are in the upper windows) | Copyrighted 1905 by G.K. Miller | Note the gables, turrets, Gothic (?) windows.... Image: 20.4 x 26 cm; Board: 31.3 x 37.8 cm. Cooper: G.K. Miller, [1905]. Image yellowed and exhibiting some light silver mirroring and darkening of bright areas of sky above building, a few small stains to image, several tiny chips to blank margins of print, (not affecting image), board lightly worn and soiled, with pin holes in bottom corners, overall good. Image is very sharp, showing a remarkable amount of detail in small features, such as the students’ faces and the building’s brickwork; [3] U.S. Fish Hatchery with Old Main in the background. Matte gelatin silver print mounted on board. Ink inscription in lower left-hand corner of print: Copyrighted 1905 by G.K. Miller. Ink inscription on board verso: ‘In the shadows of Old Main’–U.S. Fish Hatchery | San Marcos, Texas | Note: the small outbuilding near Old Main was | the Women’s Privy! | Handwriting in lower left corner: ‘Copyrighted 1905 by G.K. Image a bit yellowed and exhibiting some silver mirroring, a few light scratches and small scuffs and abrasions to image surface, a bit of wear to blank margins of print and board mount (not affecting image), overall good.
