Item Details
Description
Early Cretaceous Period, 145-66 million years ago, near Laoning, China. Skeleton of a young Psittacosaurus, a herbivore, who is closely related to the more bird-like family of dinosaurs. They are thought to have had a feathered plume at the base of their tail. Skeleton has been professionally assembled and is mounted on a custom stand. Although it is very difficult to determine the exact percentage of original bone, our observations lead us to believe this is a complete skeleton with perhaps 10 to 15% new material used to fill small gaps. 43”L. Requires crate and freight shipping - please email for estimate to your location prior to bidding.
