Description
1st century BC-1st century AD. A mixed group of artefacts comprising: a silver fibula with knop finial; a bronze figurine of a helmetted male with baldric, arms outspread; an openwork bronze triskele plaque with attachment stud to the reverse; a bronze discoid plate brooch with enamelled design to the face. 32 grams, 22-52 mm (3/4 - 2"). Private UK collection, by descent from the vendor's father, who formed his collection in the 1970s-1980s. Part of this collection was previously sold at Bonham's Antiquities sale 17855, 6 October 2010, Lot 199; and in TimeLine Auctions June 2011 sale. [4, No Reserve]
