An unusual late George III gold mourning ring, circa 1813, the tablet shaped head swivelling, showing one side, on a black enamel ground, in gold lettering 'Benjn Barnard-Ob:19 Oct-1813-AE 61', having a white enamel trim, to the similarly decorated other side 'Mary Barnard-Ob:3 Jan-1812-AE 58', to a reeded shank, finger size K White enamel on mourning jewels normally indicate the deceased was unmarried, therefore it is possible these subjects may have been brother and sister rather than spouses
