This original lithograph is extremely rare, as it is an uncut sheet of four El Picador with plate marks by Pablo Picasso. Reference Goepert-Cramer 113. Mourlot #350 Originally created by Pablo Picasso as one of three lithographs and one color lithograph to accompany the text for the book of Jaime SabartÈs,Toreros (A Los Toros). The original stone and three litho's were drawn in black, but altered upon request of the publisher for more color. This work derives from Picasso's Synthetic Cubist phase (post-1912) and was created in the year he married Jacqueline Roque, and they moved to the small town of Mougins until his death on April 8th 1973.
