Andy Warhol created his Brooklyn Bridge print (1983) after a photograph from the permanent collection of the Museum of the City of New York. The work was commissioned by the Brooklyn Bridge Centennial Commission to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Brooklyn Bridge. This original screenprint shows two images of the bridge set in opposing directions and updated with a Pop palette of orange, yellow, teal, magenta, and purple.
