Description
Roger Dean/Yes. Aftermath, acrylic on board measuring 24 inches high x 36 inches wide; year 1990. Aftermath appears on page 69 in the book, Dragon’s Dream. The work, Aftermath, was painted for the Yes single ‘’I Would Have Waited Forever’’ taken from the platinum album ‘’Union’’, and was reproduced on it’s cover. The painting depicts a combination of arches that can be seen as a mix of the natural and the, possibly, man made bridge. It is a form that has fascinated Roger Dean and has appeared in a number of his paintings, but only here as the foreground subject and only in this painting for the band ‘’Yes’’.
