Description
A similar flat pendant was unearthed during the excavation of the tomb of Lady Fu Hao, wife, and consort, of the Shang Emperor Wu Ding. The rabbit’s body appears at rest with all four feet tucked under it and an upturned tail. The line work is simple and serves only to articulate the rabbit’s physical features: hindquarters, toes, eyes, and ears, etc.
