An Assortment of English Sterling by the Bateman Family of Silversmiths 

Three pieces of sterling silver made by various members of London's Bateman family.  The lot includes: a helmet creamer with loop handle, trumpet foot, and square base, marked for London, dated 1792, and hallmarked PB/AB for Peter and Ann Bateman (w. 1791-1800); ht. 5.75 in., silver wt. 3.76ozt (117g); a creamer with globular form, a flared spout, C-scroll handle, raised on three pawed feet, marked for London, datemark indecipherable, and hallmarked for William Bateman I (w. 1815-1840); ht. 4 in., silver wt. 3.84ozt (119.5g); a goblet with a circular foot and a raised bowl, marked for London, dated 1829, and hallmarked for William Bateman II (w. 1827-1839); ht. 6 in., silver wt. 3.95ozt (123g).
