Description
American Lyre Banjo Clock in the style of Elmer O. Stennes. 7.5 in. painted metal dial (replaced) has black Roman hour numerals, dial signed Elmer O. Stennes, Weymouth, Mass, typical pierced hands and brass bezel; typical brass, 8 day, weight driven, time only Kilbourn & Proctor movement has steel pendulum rod with brass bob, lock-down hardware, lead weight and painted red weight baffle. Carved mahogany case has a leaf carved finial (repaired), lyre shaped throat with scrolling leaf carvings, reverse painted throat glass with white background, tapered bracket with teardrop final and leaf carvings. In very good condition and original finish, glass, hands and dial are all in good condition. 41 in. high.
