A Group of Coin Silver Flatware by Schulz & Fischer of San Francisco
(16) pieces including: (6) tablespoons (8 1/2 in.); (7) forks (7 1/8 in.); and (3) teaspoons (6 in.); circa 1870s, each marked with the manufacturer's name and the Great Seal of California, each also marked "Coin," with pointed handle and bright cut floral and scrollwork, each with period "G" monogram.
23.93 total troy oz.
Schulz & Fisher was the partnership of German immigrant silversmiths, Wilhelm Schulz and Emil Fischer. Based in San Francisco, their firm employed 22 workers and was among the best regarded silversmiths in California.
