Description
A white cedar burl dipper, as made by the Maine Abenaki Indian people. 9 inches long x 3.5 inches high, with a 5 inches dia. bowl. Typical crude carved inside and has a carved V shape tail in the base of the handle, as seen on pottery pieces of the early 18th century. This dipper was found in the Mohawk Valley area of N.Y. state, and was from the famous DeVere A. Card collection. circa. 18th century. [ Third party shipping-see Terms for local shippers. ]

Has an old chip during period of use, and stable crack-fissure in the side.
