Description
The top and bottom carved as a blooming lotus blossom, the stone a pure white, meticulously carved and polished, the stand in spinach jade with black specks and fine polish, the top with carved openwork depicting lotus, the sides carved en suit raised on four shaped feet. Box measures 2.625" Diameter, overall 1.75"H, circa 18th century. A wonderfull example of the finest lapidary work of the Qing Period.
Provinance purchased in Hong Kong in the 1950's from C.T. Loo and left in storage till the 1960's when it was legal to bring in to the U.S.
