Lengthy Letter of Torah Novellae by Rabbi Azriel Litsch-Rosenbaum of Pressburg. Tzehlim, 1903
Lengthy, 4-sided letter replete with Torah novellae, written by Harav Azriel Litsch-Rosenbaum, famous orator in Pressburg and author of Shu”t Nachalas Azriel. This letter was penned in Tzehlim in the course of a visit to the home of his son Harav Yehuda Litsch-Rosenbaum, spiritual leader and philanthropist of Tzehlim.
Harav Azriel Litsch-Rosenbaum (d. 1906) was the only son of Harav Avraham Litsch-Rosenbaum, a close disciple of the Chasam Sofer and author of Shu”t Ben Yehuda. Harav Azriel studied in the yeshivah of the Ksav Sofer and by Harav Yechezkel Banet, Av Beis Din of Nitra. As an admired figure and orator in Pressburg, he reaped both wealth and honor and refused to accept payment from his community. Some of his writings were published in Nachalas Ezriel–Shu”t v’Drashos.
