Pablo Picasso Linocuts, 1958-1963, 29 x 20.25, with separate 2-sided 29 x 23 exterior edge - 12 linocuts, Facts: (1881-1973) Born in Malaga, Spain, a son of an artist and teacher, he was accepted into the Barcelona School of Fine Art at age 14. Known for his blue period, rose period and cubism. In 1937, he created "Guernica" which was exhibited at the museum of Modern Art in New York until 1981. It was transferred to the Prado Museum in Madrid/Spain in 1981 and later moved to the Queen Sofia Center ofArt, Madrid in 1992. Picasso had disallowed the return of "Guernica" to Spain until the end of the rule of Fascism by General Franco. He moved to Paris in 1904. He also had his "women" period and "print" period and all in all, created more than 20,000 works.
