Andy Warhol's "Querelle"" movie poster, 39 x 27, frame: 41.75 x 30, black frame with glass, very good condition, Facts: (1928–1987) American artist and a leading figure in pop art that gained popularity in the 1960s. His first job as a commercial artist was at Glamour Magazine. In 1961, he exhibited paintings of common household items (Campbell's Tomato Soup cans, Coca-Cola bottles)ich launched his career as a pop artist. He was also the first artist to exhibit video as an art form. In 1964 he opened his first studio, The Factory, which became a hotspot with the famous and wealthy in New York. He was also a fixture at Studio 54. In the 1980's, he created a few television shows, "Andy Warhol's TV" and "Andy Warhol's Fifteen Minutes" on MTV. He was born Andrew Warhola.
