Description
Specimen of Ethiopian opal from Welo, also written Wello or Wollo, whose deposit was discovered in 2008. It is a volcanic opal extracted at about 2500 meters above sea level, in the ignimbrite and rhyolite layers. Beautiful patterns of the play of colors found only in this variety (honeycom, skin snake, 3D, etc.) together with stability, in a very few years, have made this stone the new frontier of opal at an international level.
