This vintage chronograph was made by Heuer, who at the time, vintage 1970's, was making some of the slickest watches on the planet. This watch features a rare complication called a Mareograph or Solunagraph, which is based on a older methodology of tracking the tides, which is still believed by some to help fisherman know when is the best time to throw that line. This Solunagraph is far more rare however, having been sold not by Abercrombie & Fitch, but rather by the 150 year old, family owned high-end fishing and hunting mail order store, Orvis. The movement inside this Heuer is an icon itself...it features the Valjoux 72, also known as the movement in the Rolex Pre-Daytona, and every major chronograph made for about 30 years. This watch is in good working order. It includes the original box and a photocopy of the original paperwork.
