CUT OVERLAY PUNTY AND OVAL STAND LAMP, white cut to colorless pyriform font with a gilt decorated floral band, opaque white base with gilt decorated bands, brass connector, No. 2 fine line collar. Fitted with a period set-up comprising a Wallace & Sons "Sun Hinge" No. 2 lip burner, thumbwheel marked "W. & S. THE SUN HINGE", with a clamshell extinguisher feature, standard 5" stamped shade holder with coining, frosted and engraved Oregon shade with floral bands. Non-period lip chimney. Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. Third quarter 19th century. 23 1/4" H to top of shade, 14 1/2" H to top of collar, 5" SQ base. Shade 7 3/4" H, 4 3/4" D fitter.

Excellent condition, font undamaged with some minute overlay imperfections, stem and top of foot with a minute nick/flake, minor wear to gilt. Burner set-up undamaged.
