Pre-Columbian, Costa Rica, Atlantic Watershed, Ca 500 to 900 AD. Carved stone figure from native volcanic stone, representing a fierce warrior holding hand axe in one hand, head of a vanquished enemy in his other. Features nicely detailed and overall a fine example! 12"H.
