Description
1980's Joe DiMaggio & Ken Keltner Dual-Signed Baseball with Streak Notation. All good things must come to an end, and Cleveland Indians third baseman Keltner was the instrument that severed the Yankee Clipper's unbroken streak of games in which he recorded a hit at fifty-six. Both have autographed the sweet spot of this OAL (Brown) ball in 9+/10 ink, with Keltner notating the southern panel, "I got a police escort out of the stadium after stopping Joe's 56 game hitting streak." Northern panel is inscribed by Lou Boudreau, who signs and writes, "Started the double play that ended Joe's 56 game streak." This writing is likewise 9+/10. DiMaggio famously refused to join Keltner on any signed piece, so this pairing is quite rare. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
