Kings of Wessex, Alfred the Great (871-99), Penny, Phase III, Two Line type, Canterbury dies, Æthelwine, elfred re+ around small cross pattée, rev. edelvine mo in two lines, pellet above and below, lozenge shape o, 1.47g/6h (Dolley & Blunt IIc; Blackburn, Southern Danelaw, p.343; SCBI Ashmolean 262-3, same obv. die; N 635; S 1066).
