This is simply a beautiful custom made, engraved and gold inlaid single shot Martini rifle chambered in the ever popular 222 Rem cartridge with a Model 12 Martini action. The custom barrel is manufactured without sights. There is a thin gold inlaid band around the muzzle and breech ends, a wedge of fine English scroll engraving on the upper flats at the breech and where the octagon portion begins. The barrel features a quarter rib, with the same fine English scroll engraving, gold inlaid wire bordering and gold inlaid Fluer-de-Lis accents. The rifle is equipped with a Leupold M8-4X scope mounted with casehardened, fine English scroll engraved rings with gold inlaid wire bordering. Even the hex head mount screw heads are engraved. The left barrel flat is marked "MAURICE OTTMAR - STOCKMAKER", the caliber marking "222 REM" is on the left upper flat and the right flat is marked "ROBERT SNAPP - METALSMITH". The action is casehardened with a relief gold inlaid bouquet of flowers in the center surrounded by fine English scroll engraving bordered by gold inlaid wire bordering. The right side of the action is signed by the engraver "BOUCHER". The top and bottom of the action, casehardened trigger guard and lever have the same engraving pattern and gold inlaid wire bordering and accents. The rifle is mounted with a fine hand checkered extra fancy, nicely figured English walnut forearm with a contrasting forend, casehardened sling eye, engraved and gold inlaid stock wedge and escutcheon, and pistol grip stock with a casehardened grip cap with the same engraving design and a gold inlaid wire accent, and casehardened two-piece buttplate, again engraved with the fine English scroll with a gold inlaid wire border, with fine hand checkering in the center and a casehardened sling eye.
