Description
Late Classical Phase Navajo man's wearing blanket consisting of indigo blue, natural ivory and red classic banded design. 44 1/2" H x 61" W. Second half 19th century. Provenance: From a Knoxville, Tennessee Collection.
Condition
Some staining, fading and grime. Wear and losses to perimeter with three hole repairs and four other small areas of loss. Fringes are fragile with deterioration, evidence of moth damage, border has been stapled to foam board.
